My bike had the air rear shocks that were used only on 1983 models in Canada and the US. I think they beefed up the ones they had on the 1982 models as most of these bikes ended up on touring duty and needed some extra support at the rear end. I sent these away to a guy I saw advertising in one of the magazines.. He has re-chromed the tops, replaced the stanchion seals and generally refurbished. I have no idea how he got inside them.
Even the air valve caps were chromed.
